Visit to Singapore Safari

I was visiting the night safari last month. The drive to the zoo was a journey by itself. It did not feel like in the metropolitan singapore. It was through a jungle areas, they manage to conserve whatever little greenery they have.

It was a real life experience for most visitors who come from cities. For me, it was a revisit of my younger days, as I was brought up in a village environment.

The Singapore Night Safari, like many other things on the island is uniquely Singaporean. This innovation is something that can only be experienced in Singapore and is a not to be missed attraction for tourists. The idea of a nocturnal zoo was first thought up by the Singapore tourism authorities who were always on the lookout make Singapore a more exciting and unique travel destination.

The concept has since been replicated by a number of zoos in the region, yet the Singapore Night Safari retains its status as being the best in its class. The staggering amount of species that can be seen on the night safari is unparalleled, with more than 1,000 being on display. Of that number a third is said to consist of threatened species.

Since its inception in 1994, the Singapore Night Safari has had more than 10 million visitors. The number is testament to the unsurpassed experience that tourists enjoy here. The secret of its success lies in presenting the animals in their natural environment; thus, the night safari is held in an expansive block of land that houses an open-air zoo. The open-air enclosure is divided into sections, depending on the geographical origins of the animals. Apart from that, there are no enclosures and the animals are free to roam about at will.

The safari can be explored in a number of ways: by three hiking trails or an electric tram. The highlights of the safari that visitors should look out for are Indian Rhinoceros, who appear invisible except for the moonlight glinting off its horns and eyes. The African Big Cats and the South American enclosure are also sights to behold. The Singapore Night Safari can be easily accessed by tourists using accommodation in Singapore as the transportation links are excellent. Singapore corporate housing such as Somerset Liang Court, despite being located away from the safari, is well-connected via the public transport.
