We took the opportunity of the long weekend to visit the asian birds at the Kuala Lumpur Birds Park.

map of kuala lumpur birds park When you buy the entrance ticket to the birds park, you will be give a map like above. The park is large, what you see is only half of it.
It is the largest free flight walk-in aviary, situated very conveniently in the lake garden, within walking distant from the city center.
We park the car in front of the Park. There is shortage of parking space especially at the weekend. Before entering the park, my daughter wanted to buy drink, it cost us 3 times the normal price. So, it is a good idea to bring along your water and snacks.
Entrant Fees
Then we lined up to buy the tickets, there were two rates, for Malaysian and higher rate for foreigners.
Malaysia: Adult – rm20 and children rm10.
Visitors : Adult rm 45 and children rm 35

main entrance--As you stepped in the door, you will see flying birds were welcoming you. As I find it hard to remember the names of the birds, taking the picture solve the problem.
Walking along the foot path, there were a few peacock running around. I guessed they are too familiar with the visitors. In fact one of them was too glad to display his beautiful set of feathers.
There were many flamingos, most of them were sleeping. Probably, there were not much to do, as everything was provided by the park.

scarlet ibis with beautiful red color I remember that ibis had played an important role in the ancient Egypt civilization. It was a beautiful bird, in a perfect red color.
